Company History
JB Steel was incorporated in 1988 by Johnny Henderson and is family owned and operated. In 2012, we became an AISC Certified Erector and continue to deliver safe, efficient, and creative solutions across the Southeast today. Our expertise in manufacturing, mission-critical data, studio & long span, warehousing, and tenant improvement comes from years of trusted partnership in the Atlanta market. In 2020, Jimmy Henderson opened Henderson Fab to better serve our clients with a turnkey fabrication and erection solution. The pride in our work comes from decades of quality and determination, and exceeding our client’s expectations.

Founder & Owner
Johnny Henderson
Has 35+ years of successfully delivering on-time, on-budget, and high-quality projects across the Southeast. A native to Atlanta, Johnny began his career in the union before incorporating JB Steel in1988. His portfolio now includes over 175 million square feet under roof in Atlanta and a passion for technical and mechanical support.
President & Owner
Jimmy Henderson
Born into the steel industry, Jimmy has over 25 years of experience in steel erection and rigging. As Founder of Henderson Fab, Jimmy oversees all day-to-day operations while managing existing relationships with suppliers and customers as well as developing new ones. He is NCCCO Certified for LBC, TLL, TSS, STC and maintains OSHA 10- & 30-Hour certifications.

Brett Henderson
Brett’s 10+ years in construction is built on customized solutions, operational excellence, and customer success. Her portfolio includes manufacturing, warehousing, and healthcare, with a strategic focus of onsite coordination within trade partners. She is a Past President of NAWIC and focused on driving successful results in safety, performance, and development.
Senior Project Director
Dale Powell
With just shy of 30 years in the construction industry, Dale has an unsurpassed knowledge of steel construction and feasibility. Dale supports our Foreman to determine best sequencing, scheduling, and logistics. He also performs onsite visual inspections for pre-steel erection site conditions, laydown areas, and site accessibility. He communicates internally and externally on design changes and with trade coordination and goes above and beyond when it comes to making sure our customers’ expectations and needs are met.
Human Resources & Billing Manager
Karina Villaneuva
Karina came to JB Steel in 2019 bringing with her over 10 years of commercial construction experience in project management & contract legalities working primarily on Pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, and airport renovations. She joined our team as Director of Human Resources overseeing all employees, our internal standards, insurance, WC, Drug free workforce, OSHA reporting compliance and more. Karina continues to work with project management handling contract reviews, change orders, project setup, administration & closeout.
Operations & Safety Manager
Tara Tinker
Tara has been on the JB Steel team just shy of a decade. She specializes in safety, holding certifications for OSHA 510, Intro to Safety and Health Management, and Advanced Safety Management. She is responsible for coordinating and supporting pre-construction efforts, planning safety into the projects, and making sure all our employees have current and proper safety training. This ensures that all construction activities are conducted in a safe manner, preventing accidents and injuries and ensure compliance with work practice regulations.
Onsite Safety & Quality Manager
Monte McNew
Monte McNew served in The United States Navy as an In-Flight Aviation Electronics Technician and crewmember of Pactific Crew 7 at VQ-3, Tinker AFB. He graduated from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy, OH and received a bachelor’s degree in business from Mid-American Christian University in Oklahoma City, OK.
Financial Controller
Taylor Vogt
With over a decade of hands-on accounting experience, Taylor Vogt serves as Controller at J.B Steel & Precast / Henderson Fab where she plays a key role in managing the company’s financial operations. Since joining the team in 2021, she has been responsible for a wide range of critical functions, including payroll, tax compliance, cash flow management, financial reporting, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Taylor’s career began in 2013 as an accounting assistant and her progress through various roles in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, and financial management reflect her strong attention to detail, reliability, and strategic approach to accounting operations.
